edmodo
Description
Edmodo is an educational platform for the first 12 years of schooling (kindergarten – high school) with scalable features that allows teachers to communicate and collaborate with other educators and students to create a more interactive teaching environment (can be best thought as a digital classroom). Access is invitation only by teachers and can be used both within and outside the framework of the classroom. The tool is innovative insofar as it promotes teacher to teacher training and professional development, it facilitates instant communication with students, other educators and parents on due dates, announcements, resources, events etc. The users need to create a new account that is free.
